Meet the Team

Christopher W. Knight, CFP®, AIF® President & Senior Wealth Advisor

Chris is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. Chris serves as President for Cornerstone Planning, LLC.

He understands the complex needs of clients and provides unique solutions to individual situations. Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Chris has spent his entire career in the Financial Planning and Investment Management industry through his work at Vanguard, Ronald Blue & Co. and as Founder and Owner of Cornerstone Planning, LLC.

Chris also serves on the Board of Directors for Campus Outreach and as a member of the Diaconate at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC. He and his wife Kali have two daughters, Mikaela and Adelina.

Aaron Joel Salter, CPA, CFP® Senior Wealth Advisor

Joel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional. Prior to joining Cornerstone Planning, LLC, he held accounting roles in both public accounting practice and corporate accounting. He has experience with individual, corporate, and trust tax returns

Joel graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a BS in Mathematics in 2003. He received his Masters of Accountancy from UNC-Charlotte. Joel is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Joel is a member of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC and serves on the Board of Directors for Campus Outreach. He and his wife Laura have two daughters, Gianna and Maya, and a son, Keaton.

Stewart Neely Associate Wealth Advisor

Stewart began working with Cornerstone Wealth Planning in 2021. Prior to joining Cornerstone, his career has included roles in education, development and leadership spanning more than a decade. Stewart hopes to bring clarity to the complexities of finance, enabling clients to create attainable financial plans and achieve their goals.

Stewart graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2009, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a NC Teacher’s License. Furthermore, he graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte in 2014, serving in pastoral ministry at Christ Covenant Church for six years.

Stewart is actively involved at Hope Community Church in Charlotte, NC, along with his wife Gabrielle, and their three children: Ezra, Oak and Eden.

Esther G. Bodman Advisor Support – Investment Specialist & Client Service

Esther has worked in the Investment Management and Financial Planning arena for 29 years. Her career has included roles in investment operations, investment planning and relationship management. Esther’s passion is helping clients clarify their financial goals and then implementing a plan to achieve those goals.

Esther graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Prior to joining Cornerstone Wealth Planning, she served clients at Sterling Capital Management and Ronald Blue & Co.

Esther is a member of Central Church in Charlotte, NC, where she and her husband, Alan, are involved in a Life Group.

Cody Ritchie Advisor Support – Operations

Cody serves clients as an Operations Specialist at Cornerstone Wealth Planning. He aspires to help people be better stewards of what has been entrusted to them.

Cody graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to joining Cornerstone Wealth Planning, Cody spent six years in various insurance and sales roles.

He is actively involved at Mercy Church. He has served as a small group leader, retreat planner, and is in the discipleship program.

Fran O'Quinn, CFP® Advisor Support – Operations

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Fran understands the myriad of issues surrounding effective financial, investment, and tax planning.

Fran graduated from the University of North Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Fran has focused her work in the public accounting and financial advisory field since 2001 and received her CFP® certification in 2005.

Prior to this, Fran held accounting positions at various private and non-profit entities, which include Orangewood Christian School, AAA Headquarters Orlando, and Allied Bendix Aerospace. She and her husband, Wes, have three adult sons.

Gina Williams Advisor Support – Office Manager & Client Service

Gina serves as the office manager for Cornerstone Wealth Planning.

Gina worked in the banking industry until she married and moved to Charlotte in 1978. She homeschooled her children over the course of 30 years and was the office manager and bookkeeper for her husband’s land surveying company for 16 years.

Gina is a member of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC. She has five grown children and five grandchildren and she enjoys decorating, scrapbooking, crafting greeting cards, and reading.

Melinda Eaddy Advisor Support - Client Service

Melinda began working with Cornerstone Wealth Planning in 2021.

She is originally from Concord, Massachusetts. Melinda graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2001, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She worked as a research assistant at Carnegie Melon University for a year before returning to school (Montclair State University, NJ) to earn her Teacher’s License.

Melinda spent 12 years as an elementary school teacher in the private and public school systems of both New Jersey and North Carolina. She has been a member of Christ Covenant Church since moving to the Charlotte area in 2007. She has two daughters, Caroline and Nicole, and enjoys helping others declutter and organize their homes.

Wesley O'Quinn Advisor Support – Special Projects

Wes is a graduate of Troy University and spent 31 years working for FedEx in various management, financial, and leadership capacities. He retired in November of 2013 and has embarked on his second career in the financial services industry.

In addition he has completed the required training to sit for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam. Wes is active in his community and has served on the Zoning Board of Appeals and currently serves on the Greenways and Trails Committee for the City of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

For the past 8 years, Wes has led Financial Peace University classes at his church. He and his wife, Fran, have three adult sons.
